Grandparents’ day celebration
The main idea behind the World Grandparents Day celebration is to make tiny tots recognize and appreciate the elderly grandparents, for their values and contribution made to their families.
“Every child has fond memories forever of their grandparents holding on their tiny hands with affection. No doubt that the grandparents may have silvery hair but their hearts have always been golden. One can say that a little bit of parent, a little bit of teacher, a little bit of best friend all rolled into one is the grandparent.
The students entertain their grandparents with the variety of activities and the grandparents also get motivated and share their rich experiences with the students. The grandparents very actively participate in dancing, cat walk and singing. The grandparents’ day celebration is the day to show our gratitude and repay the love and blessings showered by them on all of us. It is the day to inculcate good family values at very impressionable age of a small child.
Earth Day celebration
The importance of safeguarding our environment and preserving its glory is the main concern of the present day environmentalists. To battle with the dangers of ozone layer depletion, global warming and thinning of the green cover, MRIS-51 organized a host of activities to make the students aware about the importance of preservation of earth’s resources and make the best use of waste. The students were encouraged to follow the 3R’s- Reduce, Recycle, and Reuse. The students display their creativities under different themes like Save Me (Endangered Animals) Drive, Tale of Trees, and Planet Pals etc. Special Assemblies are organized.
